These terms & conditions will form part of our agreement with you to provide web design and development services.  Any changes to these terms & conditions will be found both here on our website and a revised copy can also be requested from our main office.


We shall arrange with you a convenient time for the initial main consultation.  This is an important meeting where both you and your designer shall discuss in detail your requirements, ideas, any concerns, etc.  It is here that we decide together on the Site purpose, Site style, target audience, content, etc.  Any existing literature, images and any other content should be collected together at this stage.  This is a two-way process and we actively encourage your full involvement.  We will also at this stage set Deadlines for Site Publication. With this information we can then submit an accurate and comprehensive proposal for your Site.


We will provide you with a written proposal within 24 hours of your initial main consultation.  The Proposal will detail the project, price, and timescale.  You will receive two copies of the Proposal, please sign, date and return one to us to indicate your acceptance.  The other copy is for your records.


Upon your acceptance of the Proposal, we shall begin work on the initial design.  We do require an initial 50% deposit with the remaining balance to be paid on completion of the project (before the final site publication to the host server).  (For more complex sites with a value over £8,000 we require 30% initial deposit, 30% midway through the project and 40% on completion.)


A site navigation chart will be produced, together with paper based storyboards for all the site pages, plus a site map.  This initial preparation will be a two-way process and we welcome and actively encourage your participation.  At this stage we decide on relevant content, graphics and photographs, and any special effects or facilities that may be required to enhance the site (for example, product or portfolio slideshows.)


Once the initial site design is created, a link to an image of the design layout will be emailed to you for your approval.  Once the site design is approved and signed off, development and coding of your site shall begin.  If you require any design changes after this sign off, extra charges may be incurred if they are major changes to the overall site design.  Please therefore ensure that you are happy with the design – any changes to the overall design can easily be made at this stage and we want you to be completely happy at every stage of your Site’s construction.


Your site will be designed and custom built in HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and other relevant web technologies.  During this process we shall optimise your site for Search Engines, to ensure your site can be found by the maximum number of users. We shall keep you informed of progress on a regular basis but please contact your appointed designer if you have any questions or concerns, no matter how small.  We aim to offer you a professional, courteous and efficient service from start to completion.


Once the site development is completed, it will undergo extensive testing, with specific attention given to usability, cross browser/platform compatibility issues being addressed.  This maximises your site’s ability to be viewed by the maximum number of users.  Testing addresses content, visuals, function and purpose.  Our Web Content Editor will thoroughly check all grammar, spelling, and context of all text content, so you can be sure of an error free site.


Once we are happy that the site is functioning correctly, we shall upload the files to our client test area on our servers.  We shall send you a link for the web address of this test site, for you to check through, user test and to ensure you are completely happy with your site before upload to the live server.  Please inform us once you have viewed your site and are happy for the site to be published online.


Once we receive your confirmation and balance of account, we shall upload to the host server, where your site will be live and ready for visitors.  We shall require details of your host, including your user name and password, which will be held confidentially and securely during site development.


Special code “meta tags” will have been added to your site during coding – these are important during search engine submissions as they contain search words and phrases that may be used by prospective visitors to your site.  We will submit your site to Google, as required.  This service is initially provided FREE of charge with your site design and development service, however there is no guarantee of placement in any of the search engines.  We do recommend you promote your site in other media (for example, Yellow Pages, Yell.com, Local Newspapers, Radio Advertisement, Corporate Stationery, Business Cards, Brochures, etc., and of course by word of mouth.)


You will receive our basic Web Master Service FREE for one month, starting from the date of final site publication. Thereafter, if required, Web Master services start from £20.00 per month and cover site maintenance, checking for broken links etc., and minor text amendments and updates.  Any future major changes required to the content or design will be quoted for on an individual basis, pricing is dependent upon the work involved.
